Santa Clara County provides a full range of adoption services. Included in those services are voluntary relinquishments, adoption home studies, placement of children for adoption, guidance in finalization of adoptions, and post adoption services. Financial assistance is provided to adoptive parents for eligible children via the Adoption Assistance Program.

Post adoption services are provided for adoptive parents, both minor and adult adoptees, birth parents and adult siblings after the adoption has been finalized. (Adoption records are preserved forever.)
